STUDIO POLICIES 2019-2020
Studio Year: Lessons begin the week of September 9th, 2019 and will continue through Thursday, May 7th, 2020.
Christmas Vacation: The Studio will be closed Dec. 9th-Jan. 3rd
Thanksgiving Vacation: The Studio will be closed the week of Nov. 25th
Spring Vacation: The Studio will also be closed Apr. 3rd to Apr. 10th

The following studio policies are in accordance with those recommended by
MTNA and MMTA for independent music teachers.
All tuition will be paid by semester either online or mailed to our bookkeeper
Lesson fees are based on 29 half hour lessons. Tuition is due for the 1stsemester by the end of Sept. and by the end of Jan. for the 2ndsemester. All invoices will be sent by email and you can easily find the make a payment link on your invoice or mail your payment to Ann Kissane, 8151 Carriage Lane, Portland, MI 48875.
The Studio will have all music materials available for purchase for piano, voice and guitar. Guitar students can also find equipment at Marshall Music, Elderly Instruments, and Guitar Center in Lansing and Guitar Center in Grand Rapids.
All students progress if consistent time is given to daily practice. Parents must be available to encourage good practice habits and to let us know if problems occur.
Students should always come to lessons prepared by
bringing their music and lesson notebook.
Materials seem to be remembered more easily if they are kept in a music bag.
If you read this sentence please tell me and you will get $10 off your tuition.
Students, please remember to wash your hands before playing the piano
and keyboard at your lesson to help avoid spreading illness.
ATTENDANCE and MAKE-UP LESSONS
The scheduled lesson time belongs to the student.
You must pay the tuitionwhether the student comes or not.
ALL STUDENTS MUST CALL IF MISSING A LESSON.
We realize there are emergency situations that are exceptions.
A maximum of 3 make-up lessons may be scheduled in the month of May.
**Three (3) missed and unexcused lessons will risk the loss of your lesson time.
TUITION PAYMENT SCHEDULE
One student @ $17.00 per lesson Two students @ $16.50 per lesson
Three or more students @ $16.00 per lesson
There will be a one time materials fee of $30.00
for all students to leave on account for materials.
Monies not used will be applied to your tuition.

There will be 2 payments due, one at the end of September
and one at the end of January.
